In partnership with National Training Institute (NTI) a Registered Training Organisation (RTO - Provider No. 21696) and registered with VETAB we provide national competencies from the Food Industry Sector's Training Packages, we now offer you these two Nationally Accredited food safety courses on-line. Food Hygiene for Food Handlers and Food Safety Supervisor Course.
FOOD HANDLER:
If you want to work with food - ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA - you need to know how the way you work can affect the safety of the food you handle. The Australia and New Zealand Food Safety Standards - FSANZ 3.2.2 (food safety practices and general requirements) requires that people who handle food and the people who supervise them have all the necessary skills and knowledge required to keep the food they handle safe at all times. There are offences and heavy penalties for individuals who do not comply with the Food Safety Standards. By completing a Food Handling course, you will gain all the necessary skills and knowledge required to handle food safely. To complete the food-handling course, and obtain a food handling certificate enroll at www.qot.com.au and under the registration tab, select Food Hygiene for Food Handlers. Once you have successfully completed the course, your food handling certificate will be sent out in the mail.
FOOD BUSINESS PROPRIETOR:
If you own a food business or are planning to start a food business - ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA - you must know your responsibilities under the food legislation. You must comply with the food safety standards, and your food safety program. There are offences and heavy penalties for corporations who do not comply with the Food Safety Standards. You must make sure that your food safety program meets the requirements of the Food Act, and that your food safety supervisor and everyone who handles food understands what is a food safety program and how the food safety program in implemented in your food business.
FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR
If you wish to work as a food safety supervisor, you must have a very good understanding of all aspects of food safety. You must be able to recognise, prevent, and alleviate the hazards associated with the handling of food. You must have completed an appropriate course and have a food handling certificate that shows the required minimum competencies. To complete a relevant food handling course, which will allow you to work as a food safety supervisor, enroll at www.qot.com.au and under the registration tab select Food Safety Supervisor. Once you have successfully completed the food safety course your food safety supervisor certificate will be sent out in the mail.
